How did you get here? You're not supposed to be here. I've tried this love thing for the last time...
I was laying on my bed moping and groaning, all morning. My mom came into my room wondering what the problem was.
"Naja you've been in your room for hours. Get out and go somewhere." I sniffed, and wiped my face.
"I think I'll go for a walk." I nodded to her.
"While you're out can you pick up some milk from across the street."
"Yea." I got up and threw on a sweat shirt and jeans. Even though it was summer, it was still a bit chilly today. ABout 70 degress chilly.
"Lighten up, I dont get why girls are so emotional and sensitive these days." She shook her head and walked away.
She didnt know that me and Justin "unofficially" broke up. She closed the door behind her and I pulled my short hair up into a messy bun. She didnt even know I knew Justin. Period.
"Time to face the world." I pushed my iPod ear buds into my ear and headed out the door, not eating anything. "Bleed it Out" by Linkin Park was the 1st song to play, which kinda pumped me up. I took long strides down the block, all the way up a hill, past some country clubs, and back down the hill on the opposite end of the street. A I was walking back in the direction of my house, a lexus pulled up beside me, cruising slowly as I walked.
"Hey."
"Hey." I wouldnt dare look at him.
"You're not gonna look at me?"
"I have no reason to."
"C'mon get in the car, Naj." Justin begged. I stopped then he stopped.
"Fine." I opened the passenger door open and sat inside, crossing my arms over my chest and looking out the window.
"Naj. Please look at me."
I turned my head to look at him, and he gently caressed my face, rubbing my cheek with his thumb.
"I'm so sorry."
"No you're not."
"I am. I shouldnt have led you on. And I'm sorry."
I pulled my face out of his hand.
"I dont care."
"Hear me out? Please?"
"What?"
"I kinda like you. But I LOVE Caitlin, and....I'd love to be your friend."
And I thought I was crushed before.
"So...you came all the way down here to tell me that you love her and wanna be friends?"
He nodded slowly.
"Sorry you wasted your time." I frowned opening the door and stepping out of the car. I slammed the door as hard as I could and ran down the block.
I'M SORRY IF IT'S ALL OVER THE PLACE, I'M LIKE HALF AWAKE
