Awwe man!! I haven't updated in forever!! Here's a one for ya now though(:
Clementine's Pov
"So where are we going?" I asked justin as we got into the car.
"Oh somewhere. You'll see.."
We drove in silence, to the place, and I realized quickly how I missed this.
Utter silence. But the good kind. The kind you knew, the person on the other side wasn't actually going to attack you or bleed curses. Just this. Comfortable silence.
I breathed out, in utter relief, as Justin turned up the radio with his thumb.
An upbeat song filled the speakers, and I danced along like crazy.
It was may moment to be a normal kid, and I was so up for it.
We both danced and sang along, with the wind whirling around beside us.
For the time-being my problema melted away. If only if just then.
It was amazing to be carefree. And I wished I could always feel this way.
"We're here! " Justin cried cheerfully.
I turned to look where exactly "here" was, but there was nothing! It was just an abandoned warehouse or something.
"And what exactly is "here"? " I asked curiously.
"Just come on!"
I was dragged inside the building. My curiousiry wa at full throttle, and I felt that fire to explore like a little kid would.
Once inside, justin pulled me through an opening inside.
There was a small swamp, and lots of trees.
We followed through the brush and trees for a few minutes, and finally we reached somewhere.
"Wait! Close your eyes!"
"What?"
"Close your eyes!"
I closed my eyes. I felt him leading me through some more brush, then he stopped me abruptly.
"Okay.. take a look."
I opened my eyes and looked around. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.
A huge, blue, crystal- clear lake sat in the middle of my field of vision.
Big trees grew all around it.
And to one side, a number of the most beautiful flowers bloomed around it.
A huge sycamore tree was growing directly in front of it. It was on a small hill. There were other smaller trees growing beside it, their leaves brown and red falling.
But this tree was magnificent.
It's leaves were green, and its trunk fair and wide.
I ran for the tree first, already climbing its trunk and its mighty branches.
Justin stood at the foot of it, chuckling, as I climbed higher and higher.
"Come on up! You'll love it!" I called down.
Immediately, he climbed its trunk and was up beside me.
Just then it felt like it was just him and me against the world.
And not Lucas.
I wasn't made to put up with his ****. I wasn't made to take it.
But yet I stayed. Why?
I looked over at Justin who smirked at me.
I wish I was with him.
How much easier would things be, if only life were that fair?
