Playlist song 3
Porcelain
Why'd you have to go and make things so complicated?
"Why would he put you on the spot like that?" Three days had passed since me and Chris broke it off, and Claire had come by to make sure I was okay.
"He said he didn't want to get serious with someone who didn't love him." I answered, laying on my stomach hugging my pillow. There were empty coke bottles, and granola bar wrappers littering my room. I didn't even know why I was so upset. Breaking up with Chris felt like a weight lifting off of me, but why had it been like that? I felt guilty about not being completely hurt because, it seemed like I owed it to out relationship to show something when it ended. But I couldn't.
"Ass hole." she said simply, making me laugh. I took my phone from my beside table and checked for messages. It said I had one new.
You never texted me back the other day (: -Justin
"Justin just texted me." I said looking up at Claire.
"What?! What did he say?"
"Well, he sort of texted me right before my date ended with Chris. I never replied."
"Some timing."
"Yeah."
I was busy and forgot. Sorry. -Shayna
Oh. Well, that's cool. -Justin
Yeah. -Shayna
.... -Justin
If you have something to say, please do. I'm not exactly happy right now. -Shayna
What's wrong? -Justin
If you must know, considering I haven't heard from you in ages, me and my boyfriend broke up. Not that you would care. -Shayna
I couldn't help it. I was mad at him. A moment later my phone was ringing. He was calling me. I hit ignore.
"He's trying to call me." I told Claire.
"Answer!"
"No way." My phone rang again. I ignored him again. It rang again, but Claire jerked it out of my hand and answered it.
"Hello?" I heard on the other line. Great, what now? I took the phone and held it up to my ear.
"Just so you know, Claire answered it. Not me."
"I'm sorry." he said suddenly, "I didn't mean to desert you. I just wanted to make it easier for you."
"Yeah, well, yah did, and it wasn't easy."
"How can I make you understand how sorry I am?"
"You're in Atlanta."
"Well, you see, I'm not in Atlanta anymore." he said.
"What do you mean?"
"Look out your window." Despite my doubt, I pulled back the curtain, and look out my window. Leaning against the big tree a few yards away, was Justin Bieber.
"What the hell, Justin?" I asked into my phone.
"I had to see you."
I let the curtains fall back over the window and hung up the phone.
"If you don't walk out there right now, I'm going to force your head through that window." Claire threatened, from the look on her face I wouldn't have doubted it.
