Thread: Genie (Tell Me Your Wish)

Wassup everyone!!! I know, I know. It's really stupid for me to do a THIRD story when I already have two. But this idea was just SCREAMING in the back of my head and I just had to write it!!!! First thing I wanna say. This story has NOTHING to do with genies. Whatsoever. Just wanted to make that clear. It's actually the title of a song by the Korean Pop group SNSD, or Girl's Generation. They r probably the most popular girl group over there. DID I MENTION THEY HAVE OVER 30 MILLION VIEWS ON YOUTUBE? And that's just one video. They're so pretty, and cute, and have the DAMN FINEST LEGS. Seriously, if you look at them. you just immediately wanna go on a diet becuz they have these amazing legs and bodies. That's what they're known for. Well, besides their amazing songs. PLZ DON'T CHECK OUT THE SONG BEFORE I PUT IT UP. I want it to be a surprise for when I post the story Also, I'm changing some of the things in real life to fit in the story, so some of it isn't true. If u ask me, I can tell u the difference! Oh, yeah, and when I was first writing this, I wrote it right on the thing and most of it got deleted!!!! BLAHHHHHHHH!!! I knew I should've copied and pasted...... Alright, START!!!

Hi! Let me tell you a bit about myself. I'm Jessica. Jessica Woo. But I mainly go by Jessica. I'm 16, and I'm Korean, but I was born and raised in America. Heh, you could say I'm a Cali girl. I'm about 5'4", and pretty skinny, but I have a good figure. I'm a part of the Korean Pop group SNSD, or Girl's Generation. We go by either one. In Korea, they call us SoNyeoShiDae, but you know. There are 9 of us (seriously they have 9 people O_O Korean groups tend to be large), and we all love what we do. There's Taeyeon (our leader), Tiffany, Seohyun, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, Sunny, Hyoyeon, and me. I get along with everyone, but there's a pretty big age gap between us though. Seohyun-unnie, who's the second youngest, is turning 20 this year. But we get along fine. Being the maknae is just a title meaning I'm youngest in the group.

So we were in our practice studio in Seoul, South Korea, and after practicing a couple songs, Tiffany and Sunny-unnie came up to me with excited looks. "Jessica, guess what? We're going to do a friendship concert in America!!!" "Wait a minute. Are you saying I get to go back home?"
"That's right!" Wow. Getting to go home and perform? Double the good news. "So what do we do there?" "Well, on one day we're going to perform songs for them, and then the next day they do it."
"We'll invite fans to the arena, and show 'em how big K-Pop is in America," said Sunny-unnie with determination.
"Yeah, you'll perform for them, they'll perform for you. Just establishing good relations with American artists. You'll also get to see some of your international fans." I turned around to see our manager. "How long are we staying?" I asked. "Well the event is two days, but we'll be staying about two weeks." Yes!!! I hadn't been home in a while, and I couldn't wait to see my family!!! Speaking of which...

"Wait, will U-KISS be going?" I HAD to know that. "Uhh, let's see.... SHINee, Super Junior, f(x), 2NE1, TVXQ, BEAST, IU, BoA....," our manager went through the list of participants. "....Yeah. They're going." Double yes!!! Oh yeah. I forgot you guys don't know. My brother, Kevin, is in the 7 member group U-KISS. He's 19, but he likes to act like a kid. Although when he's working, he's super professional about it. He's really sweet and cute, and I love him to death. He actually debuted about a year after us, so we like to go to each other for advice. We traveled here with our mom, and left our dad and our older sister, Deanna, behind. It was a rough move, but totally worth it.

I couldn't wait to go back home and show what we're made of. Tiffany was just about as excited as me because she was born in California too. So we basically knew English like the back of our hands. I listened to a lot of Usher, Katy Perry, and Bruno Mars since I was back in the states, and I still do a lot to this day. They said this was a friendship concert right? I wonder who I'll meet there.....

So to clear up some things that aren't true: the 9th member is Jessica, but she's in her 20's as well. She was born in California and is fluent in English, and all of the other member's names are true. Her sister is actually Krystal from f(x), and she is not related whatsoever to Kevin Woo, who is a part of U-KISS. But he was born in California too!!!! He does have a sister named Deanna, and the rest of what what I've said about him is true as well. And that does mean that I LOVE HIM TO DEATH!!!! Alright, I'm gonna go crazy if this one doesn't get any comments, so SPAM AWAY!!!!

Totally Loved it!!! So cute!! I can't wait to see who she meets at the Friendship Concert..... Her brother sounds cute.. I'm so tempted to go and look up that Video but I can wait! Update as soon as possible... On ALLLL 3 stories!! Cant wait to see more!!!

Chapter 1: Into the New World

"A welcoming concert?" I was in the car with everyone, and we were all hearing the news for the first time."Yeah. You and a bunch of other artists performing for Korean Pop artists to welcome them to the country. They're performing too." Alright, so Scooter just up and tells me I'm doin this concert to say hi to a bunch of foreigners. That's not weird."Yeah, I get it. But why Korea?" I didn't know too much about some other cultures and their music, but I was always willing to learn. "Their pop industry is spreading like wildfire through international markets. Their a big hit here, so treat them with respect while they're staying." A random thought crossed my mind then. I wonder if there are any girls?

Jessica
Arriving in LA was fantastic. Sunny skies, burgers, and English!!! I was ok with speaking Korean all the time, but speaking English was just a comfort for me. The burgers were just a weird craving for good old American food. And we've been having some snow and serious clouds back in Seoul, so I missed my sun!!! Our manager got in front of us and explained the plan. "The event is actually scheduled for 4 days now. We need to be able to fit in all of the performances. So we're gonna do two songs. Gee, and we're gonna keep promoting Genie here too."

Once I got off the plane, the place swarmed with reporters and flashing lights. Here too? I almost barely noticed the buzz of my phone ringing. I looked at the caller ID, and my mood instantly lifted. "Meagan! What's up, girl?"

"Not much! God, I missed you so much! Hey, when do I get to see you?"

"Once I get to the arena. I have your pass so you can come backstage I'll leave it at the front under your name."

"Cool! See you then, bestie! Can't wait to see you perform!" Meagan Goodtimes was my best friend, and still is, ever since elementary school. She even watched our videos, and supported me from so far away. We were the same height, and she had a good figure. I remember all the guys flocked to her back then, and most guys liked my singing...... Good times. She was one of the people I couldn't wait to see again.

......

We were entering the stadium, and I was walking a bit in front of everyone else. The openness of the space felt good after more than 14 hours of flying. I got a bit carried away with my stretching and "love of the open air" arm swinging, so I bumped into somebody behind me. I fell over, and to my surprise yelled in Korean. "Museun ttungttanji gat-eun soliya!"

"Oh! Hey, I'm sorry, shawty. Are you okay?" I looked up and saw a boy, maybe my age. He was wearing a black hoodie, jeans, and a purple and black cap. His light brown hair swept over and above his eyes, (yeah I kno he don't got the swoop anymore -__- *sigh* but i still love it and its GOTTA be in here!) which were a milky chocolate brown. His hand stretched out to me, and I took it. He pulled me up, and I kept staring in his eyes. They just kind of....sucked me in. Strangely enough he did the same, and we just stood there, my hand still in his. "Hey, yo JB! We gotta do a run-through!," someone yelled behind him. He looked towards the voice, and then back at me. "Nice meeting you, shawty. I gotta go." He ran off, and I could hear his dogtags jingling with every step. All the girls came up to me, and started flooding me with questions. "Whoa. Did you two just have a moment? That guy's kinda cute Jessica. He looks your age, go talk to him!"

I was still in shock, until I heard a familiar voice behind me. "Jessica!!!" I turned, and saw my best friend not 10 feet away from me. "Meagan!!!" We ran into each other, and I imagined in my head one of those scenes from a cheesy movie, where two people run at each other in slow motion. We hugged, and I felt more complete than the past year that I haven't seen her. "Hey! I missed you!" Her wavy, dark brown hair, swept over her shoulder, and her stunning gray eyes looked amazing. Especially compared to my extremely light brown, practically blonde hair (we dyed our hair often) and brown eyes.

We went through the aisles of seats, and on the stage was that boy from earlier. He had his hand on a mike, and he lifted his cap to sweep the hair out of his face. Meagan's eyes went wide, and she covered her mouth with her hands. "Justin Bieber!!!," she yelled and jumped up and down, pointing in his direction. Who? Everyone looked at her like she was crazy, and no one knew who he was. "He's a big star here and all over the world. He has MILLIONS of girls following him and his songs are beautiful and he's gorgeous and he's AMAZING!!!!" So that guy was a world star?

"He was totally checking Jessica out earlier. I think they had some kind of weird connection," said Tiffany-unnie. Meagan looked over at me, still with the big eyes. "What?? You MET HIM!!!" What? No big deal. "Well, more like bumped into him, but that was it." The girls started hitting my shoulder, and had big smiles on their faces. 'What?!"

"That was not everything! Dangsin-eun seolo wanjeonhi ppajyeo iss-eossda!" yelled Hyoyeon-unnie. What?! "Maldo an dwae! Nan geunyang namjaleul mannass-eoyo!" But was that it?

The day came for the performance, and we were in our dressing room. Yoona-unnie was sitting getting her hair curled into waves, and so was Sunny-unnie. Taeyeon-unnie practiced her vocals, and the rest were getting makeup done. I adjusted my headset, making sure it stayed on while I danced. "Alright girls, head on out!" We all got into a huddle and put our hands in the middle. "Hana, dul, ses, Fighting!" We broke away, and walked towards the door. When we got out onstage, and the wall of cheering hit. Everyone waved, and we did our greeting. "Annyeonghaseyo , uli neun SoNyeoShiDae issda!" We did our bow, and now in English. "Hello, we are SNSD!"

"It's nice to see all the fans out here and enjoying themselves, isn't that right Tiffany?" I said in English. "Yes, yes, that's right. Now, if anybody here is confused, WE KNOW ENGLISH!!!" she yelled. "Well, at least me and Tiffany know it best." All the Americans that probably didn't know us had weird looks on their faces. "Yeah! I know crazy right? But you know being born here makes it kinda necessary!" I said. The audience laughed, and I could feel a good vibe. "Alright who's ready to have a good time! Why don't we bring someone out here, you know, let someone experience what its like up here with us?" Big response with that one. "Okay.... let me see.." I looked through the crowd, and saw someone who might get a kick out of this. "How about you?" I pointed, and his eyes went wide.

Justin
"How about you?" The girl from earlier pointed at me, and she was with a bunch of the girls she was with today. So she's a Korean singer, huh? Wait, me?? I gave her a look, and she said, "Yeah you!" The guys pushed me up, and I walked up onstage. "Alright then, what's your name?" Everybody laughed. "Seriously.... I don't know," the girl, raised her arms in a shrug and laughed. Her laugh sounded so musical, and she twirled her long, light brown hair in her fingers, and it looked really nice in the light. "Well shawty, I'm Justin. What's your name?" I got real close to her, and I could hear screams from the crowd. "Jessica. Now back up, Justin." She placed her hands on my shoulders, and pushed me back. She looked back to the crowd, her smile was wide. "Will this boy make me say gee?" The crowd instantly erupted, and Jessica giggled. "Let's find out."

Gee-SNSD (HAVE TO WATCH THIS. U JUST HAVE TO. NO QUESTION. God this is such a catchy song.... I bet at least most of u will have it stuck in ur heads and u'll want to replay over and over again. I know how ta dance most of this!!! Oh, and Jessica is the one with the blue hat. The guy (this will be a surprise for u Ego36 ) fixes it. More info about this song at the end!!!)

The crowd went crazy, and I have to admit that was a catchy song. "Thank you very much LA!!! We'll be performing again soon!" The girls ran off, and I was left alone onstage. Uhhhh..... I felt a hand grab me from behind, and it was Jessica. "C'mon, you DO NOT want to be on this stage when BEAST dances. They get really intense." She pulled me back towards the front and I walked off with her. "So. How was it, mister..."

"Bieber. Justin Bieber." She chuckled under her breath. "See you around, Justin!" She ran off backstage, her heels clicking rhythmically against the floor. I got an idea for tomorrow's show for when it was my turn. I walked back to my seat, her voice sounding in my head.

Okay... So some facts about Gee. It is their most popular song and caused a NATIONWIDE trend called "Gee Syndrome." It's got over 37,000,000 views on YouTube, and is the most viewed Korean music video ever. It was at the top of the charts for 9 consecutive weeks on all popular music shows and gained them title of Artists of the Year. They r JUST THAT GOOD. And aren't they just SOOOOO PRETTY? ooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmggggggggggggggggggggggg! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm totaly acting a fool in my chair right now. Like my cousin's computer doesnt play sound so when i read the story and i saw the video link i couldnt listen to it. So i totaly freaked i got on the floor and i rolled areound and screamed and kicked my feet and totaly embarrased myself. So i went and got my iPod and i watched it from there and OMG amazing song. I like spazzed out when i read myself in the story. i was screaming and embarrased my self yet again. OMG loved the story, the song, and Justin sneekin a peek.. lol. That was sooo amazing. LOVED IT!!! U LIKE HAV 2 update!!!

i had to post a whole other post to tell you how HAPPY I am that Minho was in that video. OMG he was soooo cute. I was like 'what's the surprise?" and the video starts and the guy is .... MINHO!!! YAY!! I'm gonna go and learn Korean just so I can stalk him. LOL. I LOVED the surprise. GO MINHO... and Update!!! I cant stop cheesing.
