Chapter Eight,xo-"Waking Up Sunshine"
"*Soft Snoring*"
I opened my eyes slightly and looked around. There was no Liana waking me about breakfast, no sound of the fireplace, nothing. I sat up slowly, looking around me. I was still on the floor, but not remembering how I got there. I rubbed my eyes and heard a soft snore. Justin had his back against the bed, knocked out. Liana was still asleep. Was I up before everyone else? I got up slowly and walked over to the balcony. It had that after-rain smell in the air and the damp feeling...I loved that feeling. The sky, with it's light gray clouds, looked beautiful against its soft, light royal blue sky. It's been years since I got to see the sky like this. I wiped off the railing and leaned against it. This felt right. "Morning." I turned around, frightened. I nodded, turning back around. I felt his elbow nudge against me as he leaned against the railing. I closed my eyes and smiled, laughing. "What?" I shook my head, laughing. "Nothing....I just---Nothing." "No, tell me." He said, moving closer to me. I dropped my head a little, smiling some. "...I was thinking about last night.." He nodded, smiling and stood up straight. "and what this meant for us..Where did that lead us, exactly?" He smiled, inching with his finger for me walk over to him. I walked up to him and he pulled me into a hug. "I would like to think it'd lead us to a first date....And then see what happens later." "Ah.."
I leaned against the railing, he blocked me in with his hands. "I can deal with that." I spoke, laughing some. He moved in closer, making the gap between us smaller and smaller. He turned his chin slightly, making his way to my lips. Inches apart and so close, until--"Honey!!!" I sighed, he dropped his head, sighing too. I gently pushed him away and walked back into my room. Liana had to be carried back to her room, where she fell asleep again. I left her door cracked and snuck back into mine. "Well, that was fun." I laughed quietly, hoping not to wake everyone in the house. "Yeah, well, deal with it." I grabbed his arm and pushed him out of the room. "What was that for?" "You want my uncle to kill us, is that it? Go to the guest room." I leaned up to reach his lips, but teasingly pulled away and closed the door. "Not. Far." I snickered, listening to him mutter words all the way to the guest room. I laid down in my bed, exhusted. I was so tired, I could hardly think straight. Glad that I got my bed back, I hurried changed into some pajama shorts and a tee and climbed into bed. I was going to sleep in that afternoon, whether it killed me..

Knock! Knock! Knock! "Ughmm." I murmured, getting up. Slowly, I made my way to the door and opened it. Usher and Justin were fully dressed and looked as though they were leaving. "What??" I asked, groggily. Justin, who kept his eyes glued to me, finally came out of his trance. "We're heading to the studio and at 3, heading out for lunch. You think you can get the kids dressed and ready to go?" I nodded, running my hand threw my hair. He handed me a pair of keys, to one of the cars that had the carsets in it. "Um, where am I taking them?" "To Applebee's. The boys are down for their nap and Liana--." "Still sleeping." I finished. He hugged me and kissed the top of my head. They both left and I went back to sleep. After was fully awake, I started looking through my phone, seeing Usher left me a message. I looked at the clock and it read 2:00. I had enough time to get them dressed and myself, if I rushed. I got Liana, Mayvid and Lil' Usher dressed and then sat them down in Liana's room while I quickly threw clothes together (outfit). After all of that, I grabbed my keys, my phone, grabbed the bag and brought all three of them to the car.
We pulled up to Applebee's and I was both grateful and surprised there wasn't any paparazzi outside, waiting. I guess a lot of people are use to seeing my uncle around Atlanta, it doesn't phase them anymore. I got parked the car and got all three of them out. I put Lil' Usher on my hip and told the other two to hold my hand and the other's. We walked in, walking up to the hostess. She greeted us with a smile and I nodded, somewhat not use to greeting people, myself. I told her which table, she nodded and brought us to the back. All three males--that I knew of--stood up. The other one, I had no clue who he was. "This can't be her. Little Dani from Houston; that can't be!" I raised a brow, confused. I gave Lil' Usher to his father and Nayvid just ran in his direction, anyway. Liana stood behind me, just as confused and just as shy. "You don't remember your own godfather?" My mind clicked, realizing who he was. "Hi, L.A." He held his arms out for a hug and I gave him one, hesitantly. I felt bad for not knowing him, at first. "She hadn't seen you since her third birthday, remember?" Usher quickly reminded him. I sat down, across from Justin, awkwardly. Liana pulled herself up to my lap and sat down. "And who's this?" 'Liana. My sister." I spoke, monotone. It was just all too new to me at the moment.
He smiled, reaching into his pocket and gave her a peice of candy. She smiled and took it, thanking him. This was so weird. "We were just talking about you, not to long ago." Scooter interjected. I nodded, smiling slightly. I hated being in situations where you have to remember people. I'd just look like an idiot. I felt someone kick me from underneath the table, so I looked. Justin smiled at me, I smiled back. "Nice way to make a political statement, Danielle." I looked at my tee-shirt, thanking Scooter. "Yeah, well, you know, like to make a point." Liana tugged at my shirt and laid her head against my shoulder. That meant she was tired. "Go to sleep." She yawned. I felt another small kick and looked at Justin again. He smirked, mouthing,"you look cute." I smiled smally, mouthing back a thank you. He's such a flirt.
